Dom Joseph , a UVa commitment, is about to embark on his fourth and final season for Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, PA. Roman Catholic finished the 2005 season with a 7-5 record, a mark Joseph is looking to improve upon significantly.

Besides Joseph, who is a captain, Roman Catholic will be led by rising junior QB Chris Johnson, a pair of speedy rising junior running backs and linebacker and fellow captain Chuck Cohen. Joseph has led the way this off-season, working hard to prepare for the 2006 season.

“Basically, I’ve just been lifting and running,” Joseph said. “I didn’t play any baseball this summer. From the beginning of June through the end of July, I lifted weights and ran with the team. We had to be in the weight room three times a week. We worked out as a team on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then we had to go in for one more day. We had a speed camp at our school after weight lifting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also have a personal trainer I’ve worked with since my freshman year. He just gives me what he wants me to do and I do it. I worked with him and I also ran about two miles days a week with my dad.”
