UVa Tight Ends Coach Bob Price has been in contact this month with 6-5, 285-pound Zane Parr , a defensive tackle prospect out of Williamsport Area High School in Pennsylvania. UVa offered the first-team all-district performer last month and was listed by the talented prospect as one of the favorites along with Michigan. Is this still the case?

“Michigan and Virginia are pretty much at the top,” Parr said. “I’d say it’s pretty even between the two. U-Conn is starting to come into play here too, but I’d have to go there for an official visit because I haven’t seen the school yet. They have called several times and Coach Hank Hughes attended our game last Friday. Also, Michigan State called [yesterday]. It was Coach Jeff Stoutland. They’ve sent me a lot of stuff, but this is the first time I’ve spoken with anybody. He just wanted some game tape.”

Connecticut and Virginia have offered, while Michigan is evaluating 2006 game tape before making a final decision.
