Andrew Devlin and his Mount Lebanon teammates are off to an up-and-down start to the 2006 season, going 2-2 in out-of-conference play. The Pittsburgh (PA) standout, rated a four-star recruit by Scout.com, has drawn double-coverage from opposing defenses and, though he has only one catch on the season, feels good about his production and is looking to help his team get on a roll as it enters Great Southern conference play.

This year, the 6-6, 252-pound Devlin has imposed his will as a blocker.

“Personally, I think blocking is my best attribute to the game,” Devlin said. Mount Lebanon has thrown the ball less than 20 times total this season. “Being able to be a big, physical presence on the end and being able to open up the end for our backs to get outside is important. I’ve gotten better each year I’ve played and my strength has obviously gotten better, too. I’ll do everything as a blocker. I’ll even line up at different positions such as the h-back. I’ll come in motion and I’ll pull and everything.”
