It hasn’t been a perfect season so far for Anthony Mihota and his Massaponax teammates. Things have gone all right – the team’s record is 3-2 – but Mihota, a team captain, knows his squad can do better. The 6-5 ½, 270-pound UVa commitment has turned in a good season individually and accomplished something he had never accomplished in his high school career up until this year.

An offensive guard and defensive lineman, Mihota has been steady on offense and on defense has accumulated 37 tackles and two sacks.

“We’re doing pretty good,” Mihota said of his team. “We’re not exactly where we want to be. We’re making little mistakes, but we’re working on fixing them. Individually, I think I’m doing pretty good for myself. I scored a touchdown. I have a lot of experience and I feel like I can pass that on to younger kids. If they see my play at a high level out there, then hopefully they can learn from that.”
