10 Things I Learned Against Maryland

1. A devastating loss. This one hurts. A lot. In part because we needed the win. In part because of how the loss occurred. In part because it is Maryland (OK, maybe that is just me). But also because a loss like this has the chance to linger. The hangover effect, if you will.

This past week was a very challenging one for the team as it was. The team, however, did a good job of keeping its collective chin up and did a good job of preparing for the Maryland game. That preparation showed in the first half. Plus, the team got the needed emotional bump from the crowd in its return to Scott Stadium.

Now, the loss. A loss that leaves everyone thinking about the game. If only this play had gone differently. If only I could have back that play. Should I have gone for that 4th and 4 in the 4th quarter? Should I have gone for it on 4th and 1 in the 3rd quarter? How did I drop that ball? Could I, should I, why did I, why didn’t I …?
