Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, CA) wide receiver Sean Wiser continues to be a top target for the UVa coaching staff, which has consistently called and sent text messages to the 6-2, 185-pound standout this fall. Wiser is a three-star prospect for USA Today’s seventh-ranked high school football program in the country.

“I’ve been talking to them every week,” Wiser said of the UVa staff. “I’m still getting mail and everything, too. I’ve been talking to Coach Bernstein and I’ve been getting text messages from all of the coaches. They are definitely letting me know that they really want me there. They tell me I could come in early and make a difference. They are short on receivers. Those are some things they are trying to press upon me.”

Wiser says that Oregon and Stanford have a slight edge over UVa at this point in his decision making process. Can UVa still be considered a serious contender?
