TheSabre.com caught up with Moses Ware, Head Coach of Ballou High School’s varsity football team, to get the latest on UVa commit Romale Tucker as well as offensive lineman target Lamar Milstead , five-star defensive lineman Marvin Austin and speedy running back Dwan Thornton. Ware recently led Ballou to its first D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association Championship in school history.
The championship title is something Ware is especially proud of.
“It was our first one in school history, so it will always be special. This will always be the first team to do it,” said Ware, whose team defeated Dunbar 34-33 for the title. “This is really a culmination of all the kids’ hard work. They saw the fruits of their labor.”
