6-6, 255-pound offensive lineman recruit Anthony Castonzo made an official visit to Vanderbilt this past weekend. Vanderbilt, along with UVa, are the only two of Castonzo’s four finalists that have currently offered a scholarship. He discussed this past weekend’s experience as well as his upcoming official visit to Virginia.

“I really liked it a lot,” Castonzo said of his trip to Vanderbilt. “It was a real nice campus. [Head] Coach [Bobby] Johnson was with me for most of the visit. I took a tour of the center for Medical research and I was real impressed. That was good, since Medicine is likely the area I’m going to study. The facilities were definitely pretty good. I got to meet the players. We hung out both nights and I got along pretty well with them.”

Asked to rate his experience on a scale of 1-10, Castonzo answered “I’d give it a high score, probably around an eight or a nine.”
