According to the Charlottesville Daily Progress, Henrico (Richmond, VA) three-star athlete Corey Mosley has committed to the University of Virginia. Mosley, a 5-8 1/2, 190-pound prospect, would be the 25th player to commit to UVa for the 2007 recruiting class.

TheSabre.com got in touch with Henrico head coach John Chavis, who did not confirm or deny the report. We will continue to try and reach Mosley for quotes on his decision.

Mosley, who also had offers from Tennessee and Virginia Tech, earned firs-team all-Capital district honors at defensive back and wide receiver and earned Richmond Times-Dispatch second-team all-metro honors at defensive back. In his senior season, he averaged 18.3 yards per reception and scored 12 touchdowns on the year. He had three interceptions at defensive back.

Rated the number 24 overall prospect in the state in TheSabre.com’s Postseason Top 30 list, is being recruited by UVa primarily as a defensive back.

Mosley is scheduled to have an in-home visit today from UVa head coach Al Groh. Stay tuned for more on this situation. In the meantime, check out the link below for the Daily Progress report.
