Shields Studying Hard At Center

Virginia redshirt freshman Jack Shields has a name that reminds you of a central character in some CIA movie. You know, the guy assigned to protect the President, played by Harrison Ford. In some ways, there’s a convenient parallel there.

“From watching Jordy, he’s very technically sound. If you watch Jordy, he’s always making the right moves,” Shield said. “I try to watch as much film as I can from last season and see what he’s doing, see certain plays, and see the way he’s going about it. I had never played any further inside than inside tight end, so the steps have been relatively new to me.”
