Churchville-Chili (Churchville, N.Y.) junior running back recruit Averin Collier has enjoyed a busy evaluation period so far, even earning his 10th scholarship offer. This is just an early stage in what figures to be a long recruiting process for the 5-11, 195-pound prospect, although a few schools have caught the talented running back’s attention.

“A lot of schools have been coming through, talking to my coach and requesting my transcripts,” Collier said. “Notre Dame, UVa and U-Conn have come in. Central Florida offered on the spot. It has been real busy and a lot more schools are probably coming in. I know Pitt and North Carolina are coming in soon.”

Boston College, Buffalo, Central Florida, Clemson, Connecticut, Louisville, Maryland, Pitt, Syracuse and Virginia have offered. Five have caught Collier’s attention, though he remains open to any school recruiting him.
