Coaches Factored Heavily into Walcott’s Decision

Ausar Walcott , who is one of the more versatile 2008 prospects in the state of New Jersey, decided to end his recruitment last Saturday and pledged to the University of Virginia. UVa has been the clear favorite for the 6-3 1/2, 210-pound Hackensack product since he visited for the February 24th junior day and the Elite Junior Day experience sealed the deal.

“It helped me get more familiar with the coaches and the players,” Walcott said of UVa’s Elite Junior Day. He added that he “thought” there was a good chance he would commit heading into the event.
