UVa Targets More Friendly Standouts

Friendly High School (Fort Washington, MD) was one of the most impressive teams at last Saturday’s 7-on-7 tournament in Charlottesville. UVa defensive back commit Devin Wallace looked very, very good physically. He is a chiseled 5-11, 200 pounds. Besides Wallace, who was getting consistent attention from the UVa staff, there were at least two other rising seniors that caught the coaches’ attention.

Both players are being recruited by Virginia to play wide receiver. 5-11, 185-pound Carlos Davis is drawing serious interest. If UVa offers, Davis could be an option. But Thomas may be another story, as he has a firm top six.

“UVa came on kind of late so it will be hard for them to try to get into the mix,” said Thomas, who says he received an offer from the Cavs around late May/early June.

“My list is at six right now – Illinois, Ohio State, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida and UNC. I have two more schools to unofficial visit, then I will narrow it to three from there. I’ll probably have a decision in late September.”
