Top defensive line recruit Reggie Ellis made his way to Charlottesville last Saturday for Virginia’s Big Man Camp. The 6-2, 290-pound prospect, one of Virginia top defensive line targets in the 2008 recruiting class, had visited Virginia a handful of times on previous occasions. Ellis was there in support of his teammates and did not participate.

“I was there just to visit,” Ellis said. “It was okay. I was just hanging out with some of the guys, watching them work out. The coaches were telling me how interested they are and stuff like that.”

Virginia was one of the first schools to offer the Dunbar (Washington, D.C.) star, but now there certainly is quite of bit of company. Ellis claims to be up to 25 scholarship offers including recent ones from Alabama, Michigan and Penn State.
