6-3, 220-pound linebacker Shayne Hale , rated a 5-star prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com, has a solid top four favorites. The Gateway (Monroeville, PA) star says there is “definitely a chance” for other programs to get back into contention, so this is not a final list, but right now he is happy with his top four.

UVa is one of the four favorites along with Michigan, Ohio State and West Virginia.

“I had to sit down and think about the places I have visited,” Hale said of how he came to pick these four schools. “I had to think about the situations that are good for me and where I could maybe play as a freshman. I thought about where I liked the coaches the most.”
