JHoo’s Summer Reading: Offensive Line

A couple of days ago, a poster encouraged me to write a long article when I got around to discussing the offensive line. Me, a long article? Never. Perish the thought. Mr. Brevity, that’s what all of my friends call me …

Of course, one positive about the offensive line this year is that there are enough bodies coming in with the 2007 recruiting class that it actually is possible to write a long article about the offensive line. On the other hand, one negative – or at least, one concern – has to be that so much of that talent is not ready to play this year. In fact, looking at this year’s line, one of the major storylines is the lack of depth, particularly on the interior line.

Still, not all the news is grim. In fact, if you look at the starting five UVa plans to roll out on the field for the first offensive snap of the Wyoming game, the talent is fairly impressive. Will the results be?
