St. Xavier (Cincinnati, OH) senior running back Darius Ashley had hoped to visit the University of Virginia prior to the beginning of his senior season. That did not happen, but the 5-9, 180-pound prospect may not have to wait much longer to take a trip to Charlottesville. He and the Virginia coaches are working to set an official visit date for the month of September.

“Right now, we are trying hard to figure out a visit to Virginia on September 22nd,” St. Xavier head coach Steve Specht said. “He wants to go and watch them play Georgia Tech. We are trying to get it set up, but it is so hard during the season. Darius really wants to make the visit, though.”

Ashley, rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com, has been able to visit the University of Cincinnati, Louisville, Miami (OH) and Tennessee. If he does make the trip to UVa, a decision could come soon after.
