Brookville (Lynchburg, VA) junior Logan Thomas is certainly off to a successful start to his recruiting process. A prospect in football and basketball, the 6-6, 220-pound Thomas has already received official scholarship offers in both sports. The focus right now is on the sport he is currently playing, football, but the sport he’ll ultimately choose to play in college is a question.

“Logan is being heavily recruited in two sports,” Brookville head football coach Jeff Woody said. “There is at least one school a week to come in for basketball, mainly from Conference USA. I know Tulane has offered in basketball and Akron has offered in basketball. There is at least one school a week in football, too.”

Last month, the University of Virginia became the first major program to extend a scholarship offer in football. Other ACC programs are showing heavy interest, though, and more offers could be on the horizon. Coach Woody believes it is just a matter of time before coaches from all across he country get involved with his talented recruit, who plans on making an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill (N.C.) this Saturday.
