5-star linebacker Shayne Hale makes his first official visit this weekend, when he travels to the University of Virginia. The 6-3, 220-pound Gateway (Monroeville, PA) star last visited UVa in February and the upcoming trip is likely Hale’s last to UVa before he makes a college decision, so obviously this weekend is an important one for the Cavaliers.

“I’m still going down to Virginia this weekend,” confirmed Hale, who believes he is being recruited to play inside linebacker by Virginia. “I’m going down Saturday morning. It is going to be an official visit. I’m definitely looking forward to it. The last time I went, it was an unofficial and I had a nice time.”

Following the February visit, Hale commented on how much he liked the players. Virginia is hoping he has the same feeling this weekend, as the feeling he gets from players will be a big factor in his final decision.
