Despite making a verbal commitment to the University of Georgia the previous Sunday, 6-6, 320-pound offensive/defensive lineman Cordy Glenn made went through with a previously official visit to Virginia this past weekend. TheSabre.com caught up with Riverdale (GA) head coach Kevin Jones for the latest on his standout senior.

“I just caught him before he went into school today, but he loved his visit to Virginia,” Jones said. “His dad went up with him on the trip. He called his mom from there. She is impressed by Virginia’s academics. She hasn’t come out and said that Virginia is her favorite, but she has been a strong supporter of Coach Groh and the education Virginia offers. Cordy said this morning that Virginia is still on his mind and that [Georgia and Virginia] are the two that stick out in his mind. In so many words, he has said that it is [between Georgia and Virginia].”

Back in the spring of this year, Virginia was firmly in place as one of Glenn’s favorites. Glenn, who attended UVa’s camp in the summer of 2006, returned to Charlottesville for a spring practice and enjoyed the experience. The Cavs then fell from Glenn’s list of favorites later in the summer only to surface again recently.
