Montour (McKees Rocks, PA) star athlete Christian Wilson was all set to attend the University of Michigan until head coach Lloyd Carr resigned. Michigan’s new head coach Rich Rodriguez has yet to solidify Wilson’s commitment to the Wolverines, and now it looks like the versatile 6-3, 230-pound recruit will check out other schools before he makes a final college decision.

“I’m still strong to Michigan right now,” Wilson said. “But, I’ve got to call the coaches to see what exactly they will do with me in terms of position. Coach Rodriguez gave me a little preview of what they will do. We ran the same offense they ran at West Virginia. He was telling me I could be in the big back position. I’m kind of like Owen Schmitt, but more athletic.

“I’m not really sure what he is going to say when I talk to him again, so I can’t really give an opinion. If it sounds good and I believe what he is telling me 100-percent, then I’ll stay with Michigan.”
