Centreville (Clifton, VA) senior defensive back Darryl Hamilton remains on UVa’s recruiting radar, but at this point the two parties appear to be going in different directions. This could change depending on what happens this month, as the Virginia staff has indicated that the 5-9, 180-pound standout remains a consideration.

Hamilton’s father, Gregory, has spoken with UVa primary recruiter Anthony Poindexter. Here is the current situation.

“He and I talked,” said Gregory Hamilton. “He said they have two defensive backs already accepted. They are still interested, but they are not sure what they can do right now. They are not sure how many defensive backs they will take. So the option is still there, but we are also looking elsewhere. We are in a holding pattern right now, which is fine.”
