Maryville (TN) quarterback Brent Burnette received a visit from University of Virginia offensive coordinator Mike Groh yesterday. Unfortunately for the 6-3, 215-pound signal caller, the Virginia staff has yet to make a final decision on a scholarship offer. However, a decision could come as soon as this week.

“Mike Groh was here yesterday, but nothing has happened since then,” Maryville head coach George Quarles said. “Brent is still kind of waiting. Mike Groh said they are still waiting for the head coach to sign off. Al Groh has to make a decision on whether they will offer him. Mike made it sound like they would let Brent know one way or the other this week. It could happen within the next day or so.”

Burnette had an outstanding official visit experience in Charlottesville on the weekend of January 18th. While the Cavs have not yet offered, several other programs have.
