6-5, 220-pound Cardinal O’Hara (Philadelphia, PA) quarterback Tom Savage plans to be in Charlottesville on Sunday for the University of Virginia’s football junior day. Savage, a top prospect who holds about 15 Division 1A scholarship offers according to Cardinal O’Hara head coach Dan Algeo, expects to return home on Sunday with a new offer in the fold.

“They haven’t offered him yet, but I think the expectation is that one will come this weekend,” Algeo said.

Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Miami, N.C. State, Pitt and Rutgers are among the programs that have already offered. At this point, Savage hopes to have a relatively short recruiting process with a decision coming in August. That timeline is not set in stone, but it certainly is the goal.
