Before the beginning of the 2007 season, junior running back David Wilson was asked by George Washington’s (Danville, VA) running backs coach to write out a list of goals. One goal was to rush for over 1,000 yards, something he easily accomplished. Another was to receive a Division 1A scholarship offer, and the 5-11, 190-pound standout just landed his third offer yesterday.

“I just got offered [yesterday morning] by UNC,” Wilson said.

The University of Maryland was the first school to offer, followed by the University of Virginia earlier this month. Learning of the Maryland offer was a memorable experience.
