Brennan Williams appears to be one of the University of Virginia’s top targets in this 2009 recruiting class. Williams, a 6-5, 260-pound offensive/defensive lineman out of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, has been officially offered by the Cavaliers and was scheduled to attend last Sunday’s junior day until he had to cancel at the last minute. However, he has visited UVa before.

“I’ve been down to Virginia twice, I believe,” said Williams, who now plans to visit UVa for a spring practice. “One visit was a few months ago. I really actually do like the school and they’ve been showing me a lot of interest. I’ve spoken with the entire coaching staff.”

UVa has company from other Division 1A programs in this race. Williams currently boasts seven official scholarship offers and is expecting two more very soon.
