St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH) star linebacker prospect Dan Fox traveled to the Charlottesville on Sunday, March 23rd, making what was his first ever trip to the University of Virginia. The 6-4, 215-pound junior left for the University of Maryland the next day, but before leaving UVa he was able to take in quite a bit.

“When I first got to UVa, I went right to a baseball game,” Fox said. “A player from my high school is on the Virginia team. His name is Jeremy Farrell, and his dad is the Pitching Coach for the Boston Red Sox. I’m friends with his younger brother, who is in my grade. When I got there, [Jeremy] actually came up and hit a grand slam. After the game, I talked to him and he said UVa was a great place. He said he loved it there and there was not a better place for him.

“After that, I went back and grabbed something to eat with my family at a local spot. Then I went and met with Andrew Devlin and Matt Conrath . We hung out for a while and then went and got something to eat. I met some other players and walked around dorms. I hung out with one of the quarterbacks for a little bit, too.
