St. John’s (Washington, D.C.) head coach Joe Patterson boasts several Division 1A prospects in the 2009 class, headlined by one of the top offensive line recruits in the East. Peter White , a 6-5, 328-pound prospect, has received double digit Division 1A scholarship offers including Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, N.C. State, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee and Virginia, among others.

“Our top guy is Peter White . He has been named to the Under Armour All-American game on ESPN,” Patterson said. “He is an offensive lineman/defensive lineman for us, but at the next level he’ll be an offensive lineman. He can bench press 380 pounds. He has been a starter for every game here since his freshman year.”

White, who also plays defensive tackle in high school, started at offensive guard as a freshman but has played offensive tackle each of the past two seasons. A versatile prospect, the standout rising senior is viewed as having the ability to play several positions on the offensive line on the next level.
