Add another lineman to Virginia’s 2009 recruiting class. Last weekend, while UVa’s summer camp was getting underway, 6-5, 260-pound Moorestown (N.J.) offensive lineman Robert “Cody” Wallace made an unofficial visit to Charlottesville along with his mother and stepfather. Wallace liked what he saw and verbally committed to the University of Virginia.
“He went down for a visit the weekend Virginia had a big camp and he verballed,” Moorestown head coach Russ Horton said this afternoon.
The Virginia coaching staff, led by primary recruiter Mike Groh, offered Wallace at the end of the Evaluation Period. Central Florida had offered as well and there was also interest from Miami and Penn State, among others.
