The University of Virginia continues to be in the running for top defensive end recruit Anthony LaLota, a 6-5, 256-pound standout out of The Hun School (Princeton, N.J.). LaLota has not visited Charlottesville this summer, but his prior trips to UVa still resonate well.
“I’d say UVa is still one of my top choices right now,” LaLota said. “Being there twice, I really enjoyed it both times. They have a really good coaching staff. They have a history of defensive linemen going to the NFL, like Chris Long . A system like the 3-4 can create a lot of pressure.”
A national-level recruit, LaLota boasted over 20 Division 1A scholarship offers but seven programs currently stand above the rest. UVa is one of those programs, along with Boston College, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and Rutgers.
