Those three words signify one of Virginia coach Al Groh’s favorite football maxims. And during Groh’s seven-year tenure, no position symbolizes that truism quite like tight end. In fact, when it comes to the spot that has earned UVa the moniker “Tight End U,” more apt slogans might be “next stud up” or “next standout.”
