This morning, West Rowan (Mount Ulla, N.C) junior running back Kevin Parks called the Virginia coaching staff to commit, becoming the first high school junior to commit to UVa. This evening, the 5-7 1/2, 190-pound first-team all-state selection took some time to answer questions about his college decision.

Parks has tallied 7,121 yards rushing in three years on the varsity level, including 2,864 yards rushing this past season. He also has 99 touchdowns with 43 coming this past season, in which West Rowan captured a Class 3-A state championship. He chose the Cavaliers over offers from ECU and Illinois and interest from Clemson and N.C. State, among others.
