It has been about a month since 6-6, 300-pound Lake Braddock (Burke, VA) junior Khamrone Kolb suffered a torn ACL while playing basketball. The standout offensive tackle prospect is doing well these days and has been encouraged by the progress he has made with his recovery.

“Everything’s fine,” said Kolb. “I went back to the doctor last Friday and he said I’m pretty much way ahead of schedule with my rehab. It is week to week with me. Before my surgery, my doctor said it could take up to six months. After the check up last Friday, he said I could take a couple of weeks off that.”

One of Kolb’s initial concerns following the injury was the potential impact it would have on college coaches. Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, N.C. State, Virginia and Virginia Tech all had officially offered prior to the injury and not one has backed off as a result of the injury.
