While at Washington State, Virginia head coach Tony Bennett and assistant coach Ron Sanchez recruited New Trier (Winnetka, IL) rising senior guard Alex Rossi . The 6-5 1/2, 210-pound prospect never received an offer but feels he would have had they not left for UVa. Now that Bennett and Sanchez are at UVa, they have picked up their recruitment of the talented prospect.

“I talked to Coach Sanchez a couple of weeks ago, but I haven’t heard anything since,” Rossi said. “He said then that I was invited to their Elite Camp. I’m not sure. My dad is going to call Coach Bennett [today] to find out what’s up. I think I need a better feel for where I stand before I make a visit there.”
