Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA) defensive end/outside linebacker Jamal Wallace earned a scholarship offer from the University of Virginia earlier this month. Earlier this week, the 6-3, 210-pound rising senior took some time to discuss the offer from the ‘Hoos, his recruitment in general and if there is a timetable for when he would like to commit.

Wallace, who owns written scholarship offers from Duke and Louisville in addition to UVa, learned about the Virginia offer the week after the May 3rd Nike Camp in Charlottesville. Primary recruiter Latrell Scott and head coach Al Groh informed him of the news over the telephone.

“They told me they had some good news for me,” Wallace recalled. “I kind of knew ahead of time, but it was still good.”
