Andrew Tallman a Top Target for the Hoos

Andrew Tallman ‘s recruiting card

Boston College High (Boston, MA) rising senior Andrew Tallman , one of the fast rising prospects this spring, will be the third of three Tallman brothers to move on to play college football. The eldest brother played at Bucknell. Alan, who is a teacher and assistant football coach at BC High, played for New Hampshire. The latter, who Andrew currently resides with, has given his younger brother advice on the recruiting trail.

“My first piece of advice to him was to be open,” said Alan Tallman. “I told him to listen to everyone. Don’t eliminate anyone without hearing their pitch. Then make a decision. Whether it is an Ivy League school or a big conference school like the ACC or SEC, it is important to listen. I think that was the best piece of advice I could give.”

With Alan’s help, Andrew, who missed most of his sophomore and junior seasons due to various injuries, made up a highlight reel emphasizing his athletic talents. The film ranged from Andrew running the 110-meter hurdles in track to dunking a basketball. College coaches responded well and nine schools have offered, including Miami, Syracuse, Tulane, Utah and Virginia.
