Jake McGee , quarterback for Collegiate (Richmond, VA), wants to have his college choice made by the start to his senior year. McGee seems to have narrowed his options after originally showing interest in multiple Division 1A programs. After attending camps this summer at UVa, UNC, Vanderbilt, and Maryland, McGee says that his new focus lies on schools that will allow him to play both football and basketball.

“My goal right now is I’m probably going to end up playing both somewhere,” he said. “Like the University of Richmond so I could play both football and basketball. That’s probably my favorite right now.”

Although the University of Richmond is the front-runner, the 6-5, 210-pound McGee says that he remains interested in the schools where he attended camps. He was able to meet the coaches and see the campuses and has decided he wants to “be sort of close to home. I want to be closer rather than far.”

The coaches at the camps “said to send some tape of the first couple of games senior year and we’ll see how it goes,” McGee said.
