UVa Coaches Impress Star Junior

Marshall Plumlee ‘s Recruiting Card

The University of Virginia coaching staff gave its full attention to 6-11, 200-pound rising junior Marshall Plumlee last Friday, when the talented center prospect made an unofficial visit to UVa. The itinerary ranged from a tour of the Grounds to meeting with academic advisors to meeting with Athletic Director Craig Littlepage, but Coach Tony Bennett and company stood out the most to Plumlee.

“If I had to pick one word to describe them, it would be genuine,” Plumlee said, referring to the UVa coaching staff. “That means a lot to me. In recruiting, there are so many great salesmen you come across. I appreciate everything the Virginia coaches said and I take to heart what they said. They are all genuine guys. I felt like I really trust them. They pointed out some things I had done well over the summer as well as things they felt I could work on.”

Arriving in Charlottesville on Thursday night, Plumlee met up with the coaches on Friday morning. He would spend most of the day getting to know UVa.
