Johnathon Hankins ‘ recruiting card

The University of Virginia extended a scholarship offer to Southeastern High School (Detroit, MI) defensive tackle Johnathon Hankins in June, and two months later the 6-3, 310-pound rising senior says he plans to visit Charlottesville. Hankins, who claims scholarship offers from Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Virginia and Wisconsin, among others, is expected to make the trek to UVa very soon.

“I know a little something about the school, but they are waiting for me to come down and visit. I’m taking a trip the first week in September,” said Hankins who believes the visit will be an official visit.

Hankins got involved with UVa through his coach, who felt the Cavaliers 3-4 defense would be a good match for his star’s talents.
