Jeremiah Attaochu ‘s recruiting card
A big senior season may be in store for Archbishop Carroll (Washington, D.C.) outside linebacker/defensive end prospect Jeremiah Attaochu , who earned honorable mention all-WCAC honors last season as a junior. Attaochu, who hopes to help his team even up its 2009 record with a win on Saturday, has been pleased with his performance so far.
“I’m still playing defensive end. They just move me around,” said Attaochu, whose team is 1-2 heading into Saturday’s WCAC opener against St. John’s. “I’ve stood up coming off the edge and had a sack doing that. I’ve had a lot of pressures. I’ve improved tremendously. If you watch my film, I’m much faster and bigger. I’m finishing plays, making hits and making open field tackles.
“Team-wise, we’re getting better. There is more dedication to work hard in practice. That’s where the problem was before. If we work harder, I think it will translate to the game on Saturday.”
