West Rowan (Mount Ulla, N.C.) running back Kevin “KP” Parks Jr. continues to churn out the rushing yards in what has been a stellar varsity football career, moving closer and closer to becoming the all-time leading rushing in the history of North Carolina high school football. The 5-7, 190-pound senior scampered for 224 yards last week, eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark for the season and tying the state record for number of 100-yard rushing games.
Parks, a 4-year starter on the varsity level, rushed for 1,721 yards as a freshman, 2,536 yards as a sophomore and 2,864 yards as a junior. He discussed how he has been able to be so consistent throughout his high school career.
