UVa in Contention for Official from Legania

Harold Legania ‘s recruiting card

Virginia has already picked up a commitment from junior defensive back/linebacker Matthew Bailey, but it hopes for more success out of Edna Karr High School (New Orleans, LA) in the near future. The Cavaliers have offered and are in contention with 6-3, 280-pound senior defensive tackle Harold “Hal” Legania Jr., who has been offered by ACC and SEC programs.

“He’s in the process of figuring out where he wants to visit,” Karr head coach Jabbar Juluke said. “He has about 12 offers right now. He has a very, very tough decision to make on what schools he wants to visit. He has already taken an official visit to Minnesota, so he has four left. I think he’ll wait until the end of the season to take the visits, but he will take all of his visits.”

Legania, Bailey and senior quarterback Munchie Legaux trekked to Charlottesville this summer for an unofficial visit. Bailey and Legania in particular came away impressed, with the former committing early last month and the latter heavily considering UVa as one of his five official visit destinations.
