Johnathon Hankins ‘ recruiting card

Massive defensive tackle prospect Johnathon Hankins made the trek to Charlottesville this past weekend, making an official visit to the University of Virginia. Impressed by the players and the education, the 6-3, 300-pound Southeastern (Detroit, MI) standout now has the Cavaliers at the top of his list.

“I think I might be close to making a decision for Virginia,” said Hankins. “I’ll talk to my coach tomorrow and talk about other visits. I think Virginia might be the place for me.”

Should Virginia pull out a commitment from Hankins, it would be quite a catch. A top prospect, he claims offers from Florida and Ohio State, among others, and favored the Buckeyes for weeks prior to this past weekend’s visit.
