FUMA Notes: Shuman Talks London, Moses

In the midst of a big push from SEC programs for top offensive tackle Morgan Moses, the University of Virginia is making its case to the 6-7, 340-pound offensive tackle and hoping to hold on to its top recruit from the 2009 class. Fork Union Military Academy postgraduate head coach John Shuman updated the latest on Moses, who enrolled at FUMA after failing to qualify academically out of high school.

Virginia was represented at Fork Union on Tuesday, with coaches checking on Moses and another 2009 holdover, offensive lineman Cody Wallace .

“UVa did send two coaches over,” Shuman said. “They talked with the two players they have in here. I don’t think they have interest in anybody else here. It was exciting to have Anthony Poindexter and Bob Price here. [Thursday] is our half-year graduation and then I think Moses is going over to meet Coach London.”

As has been the case throughout, Wallace remains firm in his commitment to Virginia. He’ll sign again with the Cavs in February and enroll in the summer. Moses remains interested in Virginia but made an official visit to South Carolina last weekend. Florida and LSU are also on his list according to Shuman.
