6-2, 220-pound linebacker prospect Henry Coley was recruited by the University of Richmond when Mike London was head coach. The Bayside (Virginia Beach, VA) star senior was not only familiar with Virginia’s hire, but he was impressed as well.

“I was excited when I heard about Coach London being hired,” said Coley, who committed to Virginia in the summer. “It didn’t change my views about UVa at all. If anything, it might have made it better. He knew my background. He climbed the ranks in coaching. He’s a real good coach and he has the stats to prove it.”

Coley recalled speaking with London for the first time since the coaching change.

“I probably talked to him last Monday,” said Coley. “He asked me if I was excited to have finished the season and to be looking ahead. I asked him the same question right back. He said it had been mind blowing. He was just taking everything in.”
