Matt Bailey ‘s recruiting card

Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA) linebacker/safety Matthew Bailey looks forward to getting to know new head coach Mike London, but the 5-11, 215-pound junior seems to be keeping his options open with respect to his college decision. Bailey committed to Virginia in September, accepting a scholarship offer after being impressed with a June visit to Charlottesville.

“I’m still committed,” said Bailey, who had interest from Minnesota, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Southern Mississippi at the time he committed. He says no other schools have shown interest since he committed. “Right now, Virginia’s my number one. I’m just letting schools come to me if they want to recruit me. I’m liking Virginia, but if some schools come with something better to offer, then I might take a look.”

Edna Karr head coach Jabbar Juluke has spoken favorably of Virginia’s new coach.
