Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA) junior defensive end Rob Burns received his first FBS scholarship offer last week, when the University of Virginia staff mailed an official letter. Stone Bridge head coach Mickey Thompson does not expect this to be the only FBS offer for Burns, who is certainly pleased to have his first offer in the fold.
“To get that first offer, I think it’s huge,” said Burns, a 6-7, 220-pound prospect. “Virginia is a great school. I’d love to go there. It is one of my top choices. I’m just really excited to have an opportunity to play college football.”
