When Mike London made the move from the University of Richmond to the University of Virginia, Collegiate (Richmond, VA) quarterback/athlete Jake McGee was one of the then-Richmond recruits he kept in touch with. The 6-5, 210-pound McGee had interest in Virginia and would earn a scholarship offer from the Cavaliers this past Sunday. Two days later, McGee became the 15th prospect to commit to Virginia’s 2010 recruiting class.
“Coach London was the coach I committed to play for. He was the guy I knew I wanted to play for. I couldn’t pass it up,” said McGee, who’ll make an official visit to Virginia this weekend.
After receiving the Virginia offer, McGee discussed his collegiate future with his family. De-committing from Richmond wasn’t easy, but in the end McGee knew what he wanted to do.
