Virginia has a commitment from Independence (Charlotte, N.C.) junior wide receiver prospect Adrian Gamble and is in hot pursuit of another Patriots star. Head coach Mike London and staff have officially offered 5-10, 202-pound running back Nyjee Fleming , who, along with Gamble, attended Virginia’s junior day on Saturday.

Like Gamble, Fleming was initially offered a scholarship by former Cavaliers head coach Al Groh. Coach London has let it be known that the interest remains.

“Coach London basically told me he was going to stick with me because he had seen me play and really liked me. The scholarship is still there,” Fleming said. “Anthony Poindexter is the recruiter for my school. He wants me to go ahead and commit. They want to have me there.”

Unless Fleming has a change of heart, Poindexter may get his wish.
