Frohnapfel Brothers Key For Colonial Forge

Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA) had an explosive offense last season, averaging 42 points per game en route to a 9-2 overall record. The rushing game accounted for much of Colonial Forge’s offensive success, but a complementary passing game led by junior quarterback Eric Frohnapfel helped to keep opposing defenses off balance.

Blake, who goes about 6-5, 210 pounds, passed for 1,587 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior.

“As a quarterback you always want to pass more, but when the offense is putting up 42 points a game, you can’t complain,” Blake said. “I was really happy with what we were able to do.”

Colonial Forge head coach Bill Brown sees FBS-caliber potential in his starting signal caller. Blake is looking for a strong offseason, looking to sharpen those quarterback skills in case his team needs to pass more in 2010. Certainly, he is also looking to show college recruiters what he can do.
